These figures are read from the booking system as this page loads, not typed into it, so what you see here is what you are charged — and if there is an offer running this month it appears here on its own. Prices exclude any applicable sales tax. Travel beyond the metro area is quoted separately and never added after the fact.

Retainer or in full. A retainer holds the date and comes off the total; the balance is due on delivery. Paying in full up front takes 10% off and holds the date on the same terms. The 10% applies to the whole booking, so it is not available on a retainer.
Choose what you are booking and how much to pay now. You will be handed to Stripe’s payment page to enter card or bank details — they are never entered here, and this site never sees them. A receipt is emailed immediately, and confirmation of the date follows from me within a working day.
Nothing on this page is a card field. Payment happens on Stripe’s own page and this site is told only whether it succeeded. Sessions are held once the retainer clears; more than 14 days’ notice moves a booking once at no charge, subject to availability, and a child being unwell moves a family or newborn session at no charge however late the notice. A wedding is not a unit. Hours of coverage, a second shooter, an album, a rehearsal dinner and a timeline that runs from morning prep to the last dance vary so much between two weddings that a single number on a page would be a guess dressed up as a price. Scripted film is the same: the treatment decides the budget, not the other way round. So these are quoted after we talk, in writing, before anything is booked.

Anything else that does not match a line on the rate card — a multi-day shoot, an unusual location, a large team, a retained arrangement across a year — belongs here too.
This posts straight to email and lands you on a confirmation page once it has actually sent. A quote comes back in writing, with the usage rights stated in the same document, and nothing is booked until you accept it.
Commercial work — team headshots, a workplace day, product, property, video and audio — can be placed on a purchase order and invoiced instead of paid by card. Ask here and an invoice, W-9 or supplier form comes back the same working day; the dates are held while it goes through your system.
Family, newborn, portrait, pet and wedding bookings are card only. Nobody raises a purchase order for a family session, and pretending otherwise would only put a procurement process between you and a Saturday morning.
Invoiced against your PO number to the accounts payable address you give, on net 30 terms unless your process says otherwise.
Quotation, W-9, certificate of insurance, supplier registration — say which and they come back the same working day.
The usage licence is written into the quotation, so what your marketing team may do with the pictures is settled before the shoot rather than argued afterwards.
Commercial bookings can also go through the card route above, which holds the date immediately and takes 10% off if paid in full.

More than 14 days’ notice moves a booking once at no charge, subject to availability. Inside that window the retainer covers time reserved that cannot be filled at short notice. A child who is unwell is not a late cancellation — a family or newborn session moves at no charge, whenever you tell me.
Newborn sessions hold a provisional week and confirm once the baby arrives. Pay the retainer against the due date and the week is yours.
